New License Granted for Historic Harborfront Venue

San Pedro, CA – The city issued a new business license on February 13, 2026, for a unique establishment set to occupy a prominent space on South Harbor Boulevard. The license, designated as an “On-Sale General” type business, has been granted to the National Museum Of The Surface Navy, located at 250 S Harbor Blvd.

The business district surrounding the harbor is a mix of established brick-lined storefronts and more recently renovated buildings reflecting the city’s history as a maritime center. The area is characterized by a steady flow of pedestrian traffic, particularly during the warmer months when boaters and tourists frequent the waterfront. The street itself is relatively narrow, with a dedicated bike lane running along one side and ample parking available in nearby municipal lots.

The building itself is a significant structure, a former warehouse that has been meticulously preserved, boasting exposed brick and original wooden beams. It sits at the edge of a revitalized area undergoing significant investment from both private developers and the city. Adjacent to the building are several smaller retail shops and service businesses, contributing to the area's overall vibrancy. The National Museum Of The Surface Navy’s presence is expected to add another layer of interest to this historic corner of San Pedro.
